Sisters Shared Spaces.

My younger cousins live in Florida and absolutely love the brand Lilly Pulitzer. Because they are sisters who share several spaces—a hallway connecting their bedrooms and a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with shared sinks—it was initially difficult to settle on a theme that both girls would equally love and enjoy.

The inspiration ultimately came from the colorful murals found in many Lilly Pulitzer stores, which are based on the vibrant artwork of textile designer Suzie Zuzek. After looking through several of these murals together, the girls chose a few prints and patterns they loved most. Those designs were then recreated as custom-painted murals within their spaces.

The goal was to create an environment where the girls feel surrounded by the playful color and energy of Lilly Pulitzer every day. The shared hallway and bathroom incorporate elements from both girls’ favorite patterns so the spaces feel cohesive, while each bedroom features its own mural interpretation that reflects each sister’s personality.

The result is a bright, joyful environment that feels immersive—almost like stepping into a Lilly Pulitzer boutique—allowing the girls to feel as though they are always experiencing the fun and vibrancy of their favorite brand at home.
